The short version
Two values are stored on your device so the site works at all. Everything else — analytics and advertising measurement — waits for you to say yes, and stays off if you say no. No tracking of any kind runs before you have made that choice.
Essential storage
These two are not cookies in the strict sense. They are entries in your browser's local storage, they never leave your device, and they cannot be switched off without breaking the site:
- nk_age_confirmed — records that you answered the age question, so the check does not reappear on every page. Values: yes or no. It stays put until your browser storage is emptied.
- nk_consent — records which button you pressed on the cookie bar. Values: granted or denied. Kept until you clear it or change it with the Cookie settings button.
Analytics cookies, with consent
If you accept, Google Analytics 4 sets its own cookies in order to count visits without us knowing who you are:
- _ga — distinguishes one browser from another so that two page views are not counted as two people. Typical lifetime two years.
- _ga_<container> — holds the session state for this particular property. Typical lifetime two years.
What we read from this is aggregate: visits, pages, approximate region, device type, and which campaign sent someone here. We do not use it to build a profile of an individual reader and we have no way to connect it to a name.
Advertising cookies, with consent
We run search and display advertising for the resort. With consent, Google Ads may set measurement cookies such as _gcl_au, which records that an advertisement led to a visit so that the campaign can be measured. Their lifetime is set by Google and is typically a few months.
Consent Mode v2
Before any tag can run, this site declares ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage as denied, with a short wait for your answer. Accepting updates all four to granted. Choosing essential only leaves all four denied, and the measurement tags then collect nothing that identifies you.
Changing your mind
Use the Cookie settings button at the bottom of any page. The bar comes back and whatever you pick replaces your previous answer immediately. You do not have to reload anything, and you can switch back as often as you like.
Blocking cookies in your browser
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies and site data for a particular site, usually under Privacy, Site settings or Preferences. Most also offer a private window that forgets everything on close. If you clear this site's data, the age question will come back the next time you arrive, because the answer was stored on your device and nowhere else.
What this site does not use
- No social network pixels, buttons or embedded feeds.
- No fingerprinting, no canvas probing, no device-identification scripts.
- No cross-site advertising networks beyond the Google measurement described above.
- No session recording, no heat maps, no scroll tracking, no chat widget.
- No third-party fonts or scripts other than the Google Fonts stylesheet that loads the two typefaces this site uses.
