Why the age question comes first
An age check on a hotel website looks odd until you know what is in the building. Nordkap Bay keeps a working casino floor under its own roof, so the whole property is advertised to grown-ups and the check sits in front of everything else. Here is exactly how it works.
No further, then.
We will not walk a minor through a casino floor, in the building or on a screen. There is nothing here for you yet, and a few birthdays will fix that. Should gambling already be a worry in your house, two independent services answer without charge and without judgement: gamblingtherapy.org and gamblersanonymous.org.
- Eighteen is the floor. Where local rules set a higher minimum age, that higher age applies instead.
- A passport, a national identity card or a driving licence is accepted at the Nordlys Hall door. A photograph of a document on a phone is not.
- The door team asks every single visit, including guests who checked in last week and were asked then.
- Under-18s are welcome in the resort: the rooms, both kitchens, the shellfish counter and the sauna house at family hours. The casino floor is the one threshold they do not cross, parent or no parent.
- Before anyone plays, a casino host can write down a time or a spending limit with them, or set up a break of any length.
- None of this happens online. The site you are reading is a description of a land-based casino resort — no games, no wagers, no deposits, no payments.
